NORTH END
NEIGHBOURHOOD
The North End neighbourhood is the home of Hamilton’s waterfront community and the site of many of its public piers, Eastwood Park, Compass Community Health, Welcome Inn, and local favourite Grandad’s Donuts. Historically, industry in the North End in Ward 2 included boat building, salvage yards, and steam ship docks. Many of Hamilton’s natural inlets flowed through the North End and the community has been a destination for Hamiltonians to access the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail, skate at the waterfront ice rink, or join one of the many rowing associations active in the Hamilton Harbour.
The borders of the North End neighbourhood are Hamilton Harbour / Burlington Bay (North), Wellington Street North (East), CN Rail Line (South), and Bayfront Park (West).
The North End is home to the North End Neighbourhood Association and continues to receive monthly local news from the North End Breezes.
